Former Blues defenseman Chris Pronger works for the NHL in the player safety department. Soon he will be inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame, joining so many others who once wore the Note.
Oh, and technically he belongs to the Arizona Coyotes for the next two seasons. Pronger has been on Philadelphia's long-term injury list since a series of concussions and an eye injury ended his career in 2011.
He never officially retired because:
- He did not want to forfeit the remaining money in his contract.
- The Flyers did not want to suffer an annual $4.
