St. John’s men’s and women’s basketball teams will play a doubleheader at Madison Square Garden on Sunday, January 29.
Both teams will be facing off against Xavier, with the women’s team set to tip at 3 pm before the men begin action at 6 pm.
The men’s team struggled at MSG last season, losing all 4 of their Big East conference games held at the arena. They did, however, notch their biggest win of the season at The Garden as well, an 84-72 upset of Syracuse last December.
Second-year head coach Chris Mullin will have his work cut out for him all season, as the Johnnies look to drastically improve on their embarrassing 1-17 record in the Big East last year.
