National Student Esports (NSE) has announced multinational investment bank Barclays as its latest partner ahead of the 2020/21 academic year.
The deal will see Barclays sponsor the British University Esports Championships with further initiatives for student esports fans to be announced at a later date.
The partnership follows on from the Barclays Game Technology Frenzy event which took place in January; Barclays and NSE joined forces to host student esports matches at the bank’s headquarters in London, UK.
Jonathan Tilbury, Managing Director at NSE, commented on the partnership in a release: “From day one, we’ve been struck by how passionate the team at Barclays are about esports.
