FC Kansas City’s Desiree Scott named to Canadian roster

FC Kansas City midfielder Desiree Scott was named to the roster for Canada for their Women’s National Team camp and friendlies against Mexico. The two teams will play in Vancouver in the Bronze Medal Celebration Match on February 4that BC Place and a closed-door match on February 7th.

Scott is a regular in Canada’s lineup, starting every match for Canada at both the 2012 & 2016 Olympic Tournaments and the 2015 FIFA Women’s World Cup. It was recently announced that she was again allocated to FC Kansas City.

The 29 year-old veteran has earned the nickname “The Destroyer” with her strong and sometimes physical play.
