McComb defensive end KaDerrion Mason has been committed to Southern Miss for a month, but the three-star prospect is exploring several schools headed into the final weeks before National Signing Day.
"I'm still open," Mason said. "I committed to USM but the coaches from Kentucky came to visit (Monday). After I finish all my visits I'm going to sit down, pray about it, talk to my mom and I'll have my decision."
Mason took an official visit to Kentucky in November and Louisiana Tech last weekend. Next up are officials to Southern Miss this weekend and Illinois on Jan.
