For the second year in a row, the Golden Eagles have won the LSU Invitational.
The fast course at LSU stayed true for the Golden Eagles as five of eight runners would run personal bests. The Golden Eagles claimed their second team title on the season with a score of 33 points.
“I am very pleased and excited with the way the women competed today,” said coach Aaron Kindt. “The effort they all had and how they competed as a whole is what we strive for.”
Despite Tulane claiming the number one and two spots in the rankings, Southern Miss’ tight running pack persevered and held on for the win.
