HATTIESBURG — Southern Miss Athletics released an updated strategic plan on Thursday morning, which provides 25 athletic department-wide goals the department hopes to achieve by 2025.
Four facility-based goals headline the plan: Upgrading and modernizing Reed Green Coliseum, constructing a new golf center, moving as many facilities as feasible onto campus and developing a broad facilities master plan.
Southern Miss receives 50% of the revenue from Hattiesburg's 'Your Penny at Work Tax', which had generated about $4.5 million for the renovation of Reed Green Coliseum as of July 1. McClain previously said that the project has a budget of $15 million.
