Dylan Burdeaux became the third Southern Miss player picked in this year’s MLB Draft on Wednesday.

The senior, who led the nation in hits with 102 and was named Conference USA’s Player of the Year, was selected in the 20th round by the Detroit Tigers with the 605th overall pick.

Taylor Braley and Kirk McCarty were drafted Tuesday in the sixth and seventh rounds respectively. Braley was taken by the Miami Marlins, while McCarty was selected by the Cleveland Indians. The former Oak Grove stars both have one year of collegiate eligibility remaining, and neither have made a decision yet about their future.
