The boyfriend of Megan Everett, the Sunrise mom accused of kidnapping her 2-year-old daughter and hiding out for more than a year to avoid vaccinating the child, was arrested Friday on kidnap and other charges.
Everett, 23, was arrested Monday in Palatka after police received a tip about her whereabouts when the case was featured on CNN's "The Hunt with John Walsh" last weekend.
Her daughter, Lilly, now 3, was found safe with her mother and has been returned to her dad, Robert Baumann, 27, of Davie.
Carlos Carrie Lesters III, 34, of Broward, was arrested Friday in his home county "for the role he played in helping Megan Everett conceal her minor child," Sunrise Police Officer Cindi McCue said.
