IRVING, Texas., April 15, 2024 – Junior pitcher Belle Sardja (Gibsonton) was named this week's American Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Week, while first-year infielder DaNia Brooks (Tampa) earned a spot on the Honor Roll.
Sardja made two appearances this week with one start. In Saturday's 5-0 win over Wichita State, Sardja pitched a complete-game shutout, her second of the season. She was one hit and one walk from a perfect game on Saturday. Sardja was the first pitcher since May 21, 2022, to hold the Shockers to one or fewer hits in a game.
