ORLANDO, FEB. 5, 2017 – Junior Maria Rodriguez fired a 2-under 70 to lead USF women’s golf in the opening round of the UCF Challenge on Sunday.
Rodriguez is six shots away from leader Isabelle Johansson of Kentucky, who opened with an 8-under 64 at Eagle Creek Golf Club (par 72, 6,349 yards). Rodriguez (Colombia) made par on 14 holes and collected three birdies in her best round of the spring.
USF (+9) is in 17th place and nine shots outside of the top 10 in the Bulls’ second event of the spring season.
