A law enforcement officer is facing a federal charge of luring a 15-year-old boy into sexual activity after investigators said he showed up to meet the teen for sex in Davie on Tuesday night.
Matthew Bondi, 22, a Pasco County Sheriff's deputy, whose address is listed in Deerfield Beach, was arrested Tuesday.
Bondi and the teen had been exchanging very graphic messages, using an online service, since June 5, according to a criminal complaint by Davie Detective Adam Granit.
Granit wrote that he took control of the teen's phone in mid-July and began communicating with Bondi.
