Murry Bartow wants USF job, vows to recruit Florida

For the first time since being named USF interim men's coach two months ago, Murry Bartow publicly lobbied -- albeit modestly -- for the permanent gig.

And if it is awarded to him, the 55-year-old veteran said his first order of business would be to re-establish Florida as the top recruiting priority.

"We've got three guys right now from the state of Florida," Bartow said Sunday afternoon following the Bulls' 72-60 loss to Temple. "It's a problem. Central Florida's got 10."

Of the nine Bulls who played Sunday, only Troy Holston Jr.
