As recommended by the team’s unity council, head coach Willie Taggart’s squad will hold a private memorial service for former Bull Elkino Watson at the Sun Dome on Tuesday night. The USF Football team, USF Football alumni, USF student-athletes, coaches, staff and invited guests will attend the “remembrance of life.”
Watson passed away early Sunday morning due to injuries suffered in a late-night incident in Tampa. The Miami native was a four-year letterman for the Bulls from 2011-14. Watson started 19 times in his 45 career games and used a ferocious approach to post 32.
