Four children were critically injured when a pickup rammed into their car in Deerfield Beach on Thursday. The car's driver, a woman, wasn't seriously hurt.
The pickup, a black Ford Ranger, was heading east on West Hillsboro Boulevard when it struck a white Nissan Altima turning into the parking lot of the Bazaar International supermarket just before 4 p.m., said Dani Moschella, Broward Sheriff's Office spokeswoman.
The four children – two boys, and two girls, ranging in age from 4 to 11 – and the woman were taken to Broward Health Medical Center in Fort Lauderdale.
It appeared that some of the children were not properly restrained, and one of them was flown to the hospital, Moschella said.
