Families hope for missing boys' survival after capsized boat found off Daytona

TEQUESTA — The desperate, days-long search for two 14-year-old fishing buddies missing in the Atlantic continues as their families and friends cling to hope they will be found alive.

Their 19-foot boat was found Sunday near the Ponce de Leon Inlet, about 100 miles north of where Austin Stephanos and Perry Cohen started their trip on Friday.

The boat had "no souls on board," Tequesta Police said. There were no signs of the two teens, the Coast Guard said.

"We pray God will bring them back safely. We lift up to him a tremendous need we have to see the two young men returned safely to us," Jim Coleman, president of Jupiter Christian School, told several hundred people at a 45-minute prayer vigil at the school where Austin is a student.
