Broward teacher arrested on federal pot smuggling charges

A Broward elementary school teacher is facing federal charges she was involved in a South Florida marijuana-smuggling conspiracy, court records show.

Tarakiki Dozier, 39, of Margate, pleaded not guilty to four counts during an appearance Friday morning in federal court in West Palm Beach. She is expected to be released from jail on a $100,000 bond today.

Dozier, one of three people named in the indictment, is the daughter of the Rev. O'Neal Dozier, leader of Pompano Beach's Worldwide Christian Center and an outspoken political activist.

Tarakiki Dozier is a special needs teacher at Dania Elementary, according to Broward School District records.
