Memphis Beats Bulls 4-1, USF Awaits Their NCAA Fate

A win would have helped secure USF's fate in the NCAA Tournament, but the loss means the team will be on pins and needles until Monday's bracket announcement.

One of the most bizarre plays in USF history gave Memphis a go-ahead run in the sixth inning, as the Bulls fell 4-1 to the Memphis Tigers on Friday afternoon at Bright House Field in Clearwater.

The Bulls (33-24-1, RPI 27) second loss in the double-elimination tournament ends their regular season, and they'll have to wait until noon on Monday and the NCAA Selection Show to see if they'll return on The Road to Omaha for the first time in 13 years.
