The Gamecocks head coach Steve Spurrier spoke today after day two of fall practices. He says it doesn’t matter who started last year, because you may get beat by the next guy and not start this year. Spurrier says if anyone wants to know his style of coaching, that it is you earn your way every year, and that’s the way they do it.
Spurrier also goes on a rant against the media about how the coaches pick their starters randomly. He says that essentially the players decide if they are the starter or not, with of course the coaches judging every move.
