The South Carolina and Valparaiso baseball series opener won’t start at 4 p.m. Friday as expected, with a batch of heavy rain moving through the Columbia area.
The game start time was originally 7 p.m. and then moved up to 4 p.m. with rainy weather expected later in the day. The tarp was rolled out at Founders Park shortly after 3 p.m.
No new time has been set yet for the start of Friday’s game.
