Myrtle Beach native Everett Golson is bound for Florida State — and a Nov. 7 game against Clemson.
The former Notre Dame quarterback will transfer to head coach Jimbo Fisher’s program, Fox Sports reported Tuesday. Golson, who led the Fighting Irish to an unbeaten regular season in 2012 before sitting out the next year under academic suspension, will be eligible to play immediately since he has already graduated.
Golson, who led Myrtle Beach High School to a pair of state championships, had reportedly put South Carolina on a list of 10 schools he would be interested in transferring to, according to ESPN.
