State NFL roundup: Jameis Winston reaches milestone, but comes up 5 yards short

Tampa Bay quarterback Jameis Winston produced the first 400-yard passing game of his NFL career on Sunday. But when Los Angeles Rams defensive end Robert Quinn tackled the former Hueytown High School star from behind at the end of a 10-yard run on the game's final play, Winston was 5 yards short of the end zone and the Buccaneers took a 37-32 loss in their 2016 home opener.

The final play of the game came shortly after play resumed following a lightning delay at the two-minute warning.

Winston completed 36-of-58 passes for 405 yards with three touchdowns and one interception.
