South Alabama will be the first team to find out how Hugh Freeze's sudden resignation last week will affect the Ole Miss Rebels in 2017 when the Jaguars travel to Oxford for their season-opener Sept. 2.
Speaking Monday at Sun Belt Conference Media Day in New Orleans, Jaguars head coach Joey Jones said he expects the Rebels to be just as tough a challenge under interim coach Matt Luke as they would have been with Freeze still on the sideline.
"If I were on that side of the table I would have my kids fired up and ready to play," Jones said.
