South Alabama sends another tight end into NFL

South Alabama has four alumni on NFL rosters, and three are tight ends after the San Francisco 49ers announced on Tuesday that they'd signed Wes Saxton.

Saxton is the NFL's original USA Jaguar. Saxton became the first former South Alabama player to appear in an NFL regular-season game on Oct. 4, 2015, when he played for the Jets in an AFC East contest against Miami.

South Alabama's other tight ends in the NFL are Braedon Bowman with the Los Angeles Chargers and Gerald Everett with the Los Angeles Rams.
