South Alabama has added junior college defensive back Tobias Moss to its 2017 recruiting class, AL.com has confirmed.
The 5-foot-11, 173-pound Moss, from Iowa Western Community College, enrolled in classes at USA this summer and will have three years of eligibility beginning this fall. Moss redshirted as a true freshman out of Westminster Academy in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., then totaled 28 tackles and an interception at Iowa Western last fall.
Moss could compete for a starting job this fall at USA, which lost top cornerback Jalen Thompson for 2017 due to academics. The Jaguars' No. 2 corner, sophomore Bobby Flott, is coming off a knee injury.
