TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Jordan Friz surpassed her own school record while Patrick Rohr had a pair of top-10 finishes to lead a group from the University of South Alabama men's and women's track and field team this weekend at the John Mitchell Alabama Relays, held at the Sam Bailey Track & Field Stadium.
Friz cleared 4.05m in the women's pole vault Saturday on her second attempt, and followed by posting a 4.10m mark on her first try to win the event. It's the second time in as many meets during the outdoor season that the sophomore has claimed the discipline while setting a school record as she became the first individual in program history to clear 4.
