Former Baker High School and South Alabama standout Jordan Patterson is set for his Major League debut after being called up by the Colorado Rockies on Tuesday.
"It is really unbelievable and surreal," Patterson told South Alabama's official web site. "It hasn't quite hit me yet. I'm sure it will once I put the uniform on. Ultimately, every kid dreams of being a big leaguer one day, and since I have been a kid that is sincerely what I wanted to be. That was always the goal. It's a cool feeling to sit back and reflect and think about all of the people who have helped me.
