ABCA/Rawlings All-Region Teams
GREENSBORO, N.C. – University of South Alabama baseball's Jared Barnes and Travis Swaggerty were each named 2017 American Baseball Coaches Association/Rawlings South Central All-Region, as announced by the organization on Wednesday.
Swaggerty was named first-team all-region as one of three outfielders, while Barnes was selected second-team all-region. The teams are voted on by members of the ABCA and led by the ABCA NCAA Division I All-America Committee. First-team selections are nominated for All-America honors, and will be announced on Sat., June 17.
Swaggerty ranked 12th nationally in on-base percentage (.484), and was named first-team all-Sun Belt Conference as well as to the SBC All-Tournament Team.
