ADAMS NO LONGER MEMBER OF JAGUAR FOOTBALL COACHING STAFF

MOBILE, Ala. – University of South Alabama head football coach Joey Jones announced Monday that the contract of assistant Mike Adams will not be renewed.

During his three seasons on the Jaguar staff, Adams worked with inside linebackers and nickelbacks before serving as safeties coach in 2016. He came to USA from South Carolina State, where he was a defensive coach from 2006-13.

"I want to thank Mike for his services here at South Alabama and wish him the very best in the future," said Jones.

The Jags concluded the 2016 campaign with their second bowl appearance in the last three years after meeting Air Force in the NOVA Home Loans Arizona Bowl.
