Barcelona won their second La Liga game of the season after overcoming a tough Athletic Bilbao team at the Nuevo San Mamés this past Sunday night. It was an intense game with Athletic applying pressure on the Barcelona defence as the Blaugrana tried to play on the counter. The only goal of the game came after Arda Turan received the ball on the left-hand side and provided a beautiful cross with enough pace for Ivan Rakitic, who headed the ball into the back of the net. Barça had more chances later in the game but failed to capitalize on any of them, with Luis Suárez squandering two very good chances.
