Sterling has always been destined for big things, though, and the above footage shows that he had serious skills when he was just 15.
The guys at Mirror Row Zed directed us to this video of a young Sterling when he was an academy player at QPR competing in Soccer AM's popular "Skill Skool" segment.
Sterling took on fellow academy prospect Christian Nanetti and while the Liverpool man was highly impressive, he was arguably outshone by his team-mate.
However, while Sterling is now valued at £50 million, Nanetti is currently playing non-league football for Dover Athletic.
