Rafinha, Felipe Anderson named in Brazil U-23 squad

A number of high-profile names were announced in the 22-man roster for friendlies against South Africa and Nigeria.

The Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) has announced the 22-man squad that will make up the Under-23 team for friendlies against South Africa and Nigeria ahead of the Summer Olympics.

Santos star Gabriel "Gabigol" Barbosa, Manchester United’s Andreas Pereira and Lazio’s Felipe Anderson were named in the list that included a number of high-profile stars playing in Europe.

The squad also included Barcelona midfielder Rafinha Alcantara, with the CBF confirming it had been in contact with the Spanish champions regarding the availability of the 23-year-old, who is currently recovering from a serious knee injury suffered in September.
