Manchester United have suffered a blow in signing Dante after the central defender left Bayern Munich and completed a move to Vfl Wolfsburg.
The Express reported Louis van Gaal was interested in sealing a deal for the Brazil international as the Red Devils were looking to bolster their back four for the new season.
The 31-year-old has seen his first team appearances being limited, which forced him to find a new club. He will continue in the Bundesliga as he has sealed a move to Wolfsburg.
A statement on Bayern’s official website read, “FC Bayern München and VfL Wolfsburg have agreed the terms of an immediate transfer for Dante Bonfim Costa Santos (31).
