Erik Lamela insists his “love” for River Plate will not lead him to seek an imminent move away from Tottenham.
The 26-year-old Buenos Aires native began his career on the books at Los Millionarios after graduating out of their academy system.
He would take in just one season as an established senior star with the club, though, before completing a high-profile switch to Roma.
Lamela has since gone on to link up with Tottenham and penned a new four-year contract with the club over the summer.
He intends to honour that agreement, with there no plans on his part to head home any time soon.
