EXTRA TIME: Kanu celebrates Arsene Wenger on 69th birthday

Nwankwo Kanu has joined the football world in extolling former Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger on his 69th birthday.

Following a successful open-heart surgery in 1996, Wenger offered Kanu a chance to revive his career by signing him from Inter Milan in February 1999.

During his five-year stay at Arsenal, the 42-year-old scored 44 goals in 197 games under the Frenchman and won several titles including two Premier League honours.

The Nigeria legend was also a member of the Invincibles guided by Wenger that finished the 2003-04 Premier League season undefeated.
