Chelsea likely to make move for €75m world class midfielder

“We are not in trouble,” Mourinho said as quoted by The Times. “But for a perfect shape of the squad, one more player would give us a good balance.”

Chelsea have little hope in luring John Stones from Everton, after the club’s chairman Bill Kenwright had issued a statement on Thursday night clarifying that Stones is not for sale.

The Blues have had three – 20m, 26m and 30m bids – rejected already, and it seems Chelsea have given up on the chase.

If the reports are to be believed, Chelsea are trying to sign at least one central defender before the window closes.
