Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is now the longest-serving coach in Europe, following Ronnie McFall's resignation as Portadown boss on Saturday, per BBC Sport.
McFall took over at Shamrock Park in 1986 and was due to bring an end to his 30-year spell at the end of the season, but a shock defeat to Lurgan Celtic in the Irish Cup prompted the Irishman to call it a day.
That means Wenger, who took over at Arsenal in 1996, is now the longest-serving coach on the continent. Since joining the Gunners 20 years ago, the Frenchman has led the north London club into more than 1,000 matches, winning three Premier League titles and six FA Cups in that time.
