The England No.1 started his first match of the season in the 1-0 Champions League preliminary qualifying win against Steaua Bucharest and was given a standing ovation from the Etihad Stadium faithful.
Hart is imminently set to be replaced between City's posts by Claudio Bravo and has been linked with an exit from the club.
While he did not discuss his future, he did comment on his relationship with Pep Guardiola and the club's fans.
