Brazilian club Santos have filed a lawsuit against Spanish powerhouse Barcelona and star forward Neymar in regard to alleged unpaid compensation from the player's transfer in 2013.
Football Espana passed along comments from Santos president Modesto Roma Jr. about the situation. He confirmed legal action has been taken but didn't want the situation to get viewed as a personal attack against the Brazilian international.
"This is not a lawsuit against a club idol [in Neymar], but rather in favor of Santos," Roma said. "We could not remain silent in this matter. We respect all the parties, but we need to recover the damage caused to the club.
