After SMU's Sterling Brown became the first Mustang in recent memory to be offered a NBA contract, Semi Ojeleye, who was drafted ahead of Brown in this year's draft, needed to make a statement.
Ojeleye has good timing. He most certainly made an impact on Saturday night against the Lakers -- and on national television no less.
While most of the nation was talking about Lonzo Ball's triple-double and Jayson Tatum's team-leading 27 points, Ojeleye found a way to show his value from just about everywhere on the floor.
Ojeleye earned the start for the Celtics and posted 19 points, shooting 6-for-13 from the field and 5-for-9 from three-point range.
