Tim Jankovich is coaching more than a basketball team over at SMU. He's coaching memories.
Just as Jack Hartman coached Jankovich's memories three-plus decades ago at Kansas State.
"When I was in college, basketball was bigger than life," Jankovich said. "It still is. It's the way I make my living now. But it's amazing that no matter what you go on to do or where you go in life, when you get together with your friends from college, it's that little window of time that's still one of the most important for all of us.
"So I know what they [SMU players] are feeling and how important this time in their life is.
