SMU’s 2016 class is nearly set, but one position it has yet to fill is running back. After Robert Mahone and LD Brown committed elsewhere, one possibility for the Mustangs is Arlington (Texas) Martin running back Nick Smith. Smith picked up the offer in the spring, but stays quiet on his recruitment and wasn’t that high on SMU’s board anyway. But the senior says he’s still hearing from the coaching staff.
“Yes, exactly, SMU, Cal, Utah (are all talking to me),” Smith said.
