The AP Poll has a new number one. It would appear that the College Football Playoff Poll has influenced both the AP Poll and Coach’s Poll, as each moved several teams in ways that simulate the rankings of the College Football Playoff.
After weeks of near-uniformity in the top 4 spots of the AP Poll, none of the teams in the top 4 are the same. Some teams maintained their presence in the top 4, but all of the teams moved in the rankings. Clemson jumped 2 spots to #1, Ohio State fell to #2, Alabama jumped 5 spots to #3 and Baylor fell to #2.
