Three Seattle Sounders players were named to the Best XI of the Decade by MLSsoccer.com columnist Bobby Warshaw on Tuesday.
With 2019 coming to a close, the league site has been pumping out plenty of content highlighting the past 10 years of MLS. The latest piece on the docket, a starting XI of the best players in the league since 2010, features former Sounders players Osvaldo Alonso and Chad Marshall, as well as current goalkeeper Stefan Frei.
“Stefan Frei won a trophy in six different years this decade,” wrote Warshaw. “His 2016 MLS Cup performance included one of the most iconic saves in league history.
