Sounders FC completes historic comeback with 4-3 victory over D.C. United at CenturyLink Field

SEATTLE, WASH. – On a historic night at CenturyLink Field in front of a sold-out partisan crowd of 42,712, Sounders FC (7-7-6, 27 points) fed off the energy of its vocal fans to overcome a three-goal deficit against Eastern Conference foe D.C. United (5-12-3, 18 points). The 4-3 Seattle win proved to be historic, as Sounders FC becomes the first team in MLS history to overcome a three-goal deficit to win a regular season match in regulation play (4,916 all-time games). Tonight’s result surpasses Seattle’s franchise-best comeback mark from earlier in the 2017 campaign, as the Rave Green clawed back to draw New England 3-3 on April 29 after being down 3-0 in that contest.
