Major League Soccer has named Seattle Sounders defender Roman Torres to its Team of the Week for Week 34.
The Panamanian center back had five interceptions, four clearances and four ball recoveries in the Sounders’ 2-1 win over Real Salt Lake on Decision Day. The victory clinched the Sounders’ eighth consecutive playoff berth and the No. 4 seed in the Western Conference.
MLS also named Sounders midfielder Cristian Roldan to its Team of the Week bench after Roldan scored the game-winner against RSL while playing at right midfield.
