To honor Marshawn Lynch, GM John Schneider says Seattle Seahawks players won't wear No. 24

Beast Mode's number is off limits.

That's according to general manager John Schneider, who went on 710 ESPN Seattle on Monday and said that no Seattle Seahawks player will wear Marshawn Lynch's No. 24 next season.

"One of my last conversations with Marshawn was that nobody was going to wear No. 24 this year in the regular season," Schneider said on the popular morning show, Brock and Salk.

On Saturday, Seahawks wide receiver Doug Baldwin tweeted coach Pete Carroll requesting that none of the 10 players selected during last week's NFL draft wear Lynch's jersey.

The mercurial running back announced his retirement during the Super Bowl by posting a picture of cleats hanging from a wire.
