Thomas Rawls could see action in Seahawks' preseason finale

RENTON, Wash. -- Seattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll left open the possibility that running back Thomas Rawls could play in the team's preseason finale against the Oakland Raiders.

"He continued to have a great week," Carroll said. "There’s no question that he looks to be able to play in the opener."

Asked if Rawls could play Thursday night, Carroll said, "You’re going to have to wait and find out."

In previous weeks, Carroll made it clear that Rawls would not play.

The second-year running back started training camp on the PUP list after suffering a fractured ankle with ligament damage last December and undergoing offseason surgery.
