The Seahawks have waived FB Mike Zimmer, DE Julius Warmsley, OT Justin Renfrow, LB Mike Taylor (failed physical) and C Jared Wheeler. This, by my count, puts Seattle's roster at 91 players.
With Seattle's additions in the draft and in undrafted free agency, the team needed to make a few cuts at certain positions to start getting their roster down to the required 90 during the offseason. Zimmer found himself down the depth chart with the additions of Rod Smith and Thomas Rawls in rookie free agency. Warmsley got pushed out by the additions of Obum Gwacham and Frank Clark.
