Seahawks defensive linemen Michael Bennett addressed his lingering displeasure with his contract situation in a recent interview.
“I just want to be fairly compensated with the top guys in the league,” Bennett told the Huffington Post. “I’m definitely one of the top five defensive ends.”
Bennett also told the Huffington Post, “It’s never-ending. Especially when people are getting new contracts every day. You sit there and you’re like, ‘Damn, really? I’m just to the point where it’s kind of like, if you don’t think I’m valuable, then just get rid of me.”
Bennett’s case as a valuable piece of the Seahawks ‘defense has been examined and laid out before, and so has the Seahawks’ stance on renegotiating contracts.
